Merry Christmas from the Rothmanns!

Christmas Update 2014

I’m just not sure how it can possibly be that another year has passed.
Aging never bothered us much but wow is it happening fast!

Who would have thought in such short time Matthew could be sixteen
But that he is and behind the wheel thinking his driving “instructors” are “mean”.

Zack is right behind turning fifteen in March and busting to work for pay.
Serving weekly at JAARS in appliance repair will prepare him for that day!

Matthew has a gifted touch with plants and all things green.
He writes very well, loves video games and on the computer is amazing.

Zack loves working with kids of all ages and would rather be “done” with school.
He is playing the drums and hoping to join the praise band - now that’s cool!

Scouting is still a huge part of their lives and they are passing ranks with ease.
Matthew and Zack, though Life Scouts today, are both Eagle Scouts to be!

With one of the boys almost 6 feet tall our cars became painfully small.
We prayed for a van and were blessed with just that; our needs – the Lord knows them all.

Mom and Dad are quite busy with family, ministry and traveling.
We have been at JAARS for two and a half years in computer support and nursing.

Loren spread his wings as he traveled for months from the Midwest to the South Pacific,
Helping remote missionaries with communication issues and fixing computers that were sick.

Michelle is busy in the clinic at JAARS seeing patients from here and afar.
So many missionaries need vaccines and care so they can serve wherever they are.

Mom and Dad are in their mid 40’s with bodies starting to creek.
So they are working together to get into shape – health and energy to keep.

Homeschool is an adventure with 10th grade in full swing and subjects like Human Anatomy.
We still love our co-op and all that we learn - it feels like a part of our family

In multiple churches, at JAARS and in weddings Michelle has been playing the flute;
Using her gifts to glorify the Lord – in that she is resolute.

As you hang your greens, bake cookies and treats and family starts to gather ‘round.
We pray that in your hearts you surely know that in Jesus forgiveness is found.

For this Christmas season is not all about the food, gifts and decorations;
It’s a Baby in a manger, born of a virgin, offering the world perfect salvation.

Praying you have the full joy of Christmas and God's favor on your new year!
Loren, Michelle, Matthew and Zack
