Sound the trumpets (or bugles)  THE LORD EMMANUEL HAS COME!				Happy New Year! We’re praying for God to bless you abundantly this year as you grow in your relationship with Him. Our Christmas was special as we got to spend time with all of our south-east coast family, though we long to see the rest of our family that is spread all over the globe! Our New Year celebration was quiet with movies and popcorn. What an INCREDIBLE year it has been! God moved in spectacular ways.
JAARS hosts “Passport to Christmas” every year for school-aged kids to explore other languages and cultures,  engage in crafts, hear stories, discover how the Jesus film is dubbed in other languages and enjoy food from other countries. They learn about sharing Jesus with their families and ways to support missionaries sharing Jesus around the world. Loren played the Kodiak pilot that flew the kids from country to country learning about missionaries and cultures around the world.
	January 24 - February 22 our family will be attending Wycliffe’s Intercultural Communication (ICC) training at JAARS. We’ll learn important skills for ministry in different cultures and working in multicultural teams. This equips us for service in the US and in other countries if the Lord should ever call us. We will be attending a non-English speaking church for four weeks!  Pray for Michelle and the boys as they manage home schooling around our ICC classes.
God is blessing IT work at Wycliffe. We have two new volunteers on the Help Desk – one from Vermont and one from INDIA! This helps me transition into the knowledge management role that will multiply the help we can give to the Bible Translation movement!
