Blessings All Around! Summer '17 Update

God is so good! Exciting news from the Rothmanns!
We’re very proud of our graduates and so thankful for all who contributed to this goal! They’ve already started working on their degrees at community college: Matthew in Computer Science, and Zack in Education. They both work 20 hrs/wk - Matthew is a cashier at Harris Teeter; Zack is a barista at Starbucks. Pray for them to balance school, work, and life well and trust in God always.
Loren is joining JAARS' Refuge139 to host VBS for missionary kids. Families living in sensitive European and Asian countries travel to Wycliffe Germany so parents can attend translation workshops. The kids have fun with us learning about God’s love through stories, crafts, and games. We talk to them about their life on the field, and help them through difficult transitions. Please pray for us to minister to these special kids whose families bring God’s Word to people who have never had it.
Each Refuge139 team member must raise $1,500 by September 5 to cover trip costs. If you can help Loren reach this goal, all gifts are tax-deductible.
  • Online: Go to https://jaars.org/donate/jr-139, fill in the billing information, then click “Questions, comments or special instructions” and type “Loren Rothmann” in that field.
  • By Mail: Send a check to our address (6111 Davis Rd., Waxhaw, NC 28173) payable to JAARS, Inc. and write “Refuge 139” in the message line. We will send you a receipt.
Thank you for your prayers and support! We look forward to telling you how God uses this opportunity!
Michelle is working three half days in the clinic and training to be an immunization RN. She will verify patients have all important vaccinations including any that were not completed at childhood.
The SIL Library is LIVE! Loren and his team created a new website to help thousands of Wycliffe members use systems that manage translation projects, HR information, and much more. Praise God, for a smooth roll-out and improved efficiency!
At the JAARS Core Values Forum, Loren used Google Documents and Forms to gather and organize input from 60 delegates. This helped with discussion and voting on the values that support JAARS’ vision, shape our culture and guide our decision-making processes.
Camping is our favorite way to relax! We’re thankful for a few weekends this spring to enjoy cool, sunny days with family. It reminds us how much God cares for the sparrow and how much more He cares for us.
Wycliffe missionaries rely on the generosity of individual donors like you to support our mission. Please pray about joining our support team and click here for more information. THANK YOU!
