Pastor Gordon Nyabade from Kenya asked if we could make his 8 yr old computer run better. We gave it our best shot, but the Lord provided more than we expected - a better computer! We ask for enough to get us by but God longs to bless us so that we can bear fruit and bring Him glory. We have to boldly ask in His name and He will provide!
You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. -John 15:15-17
I am so blessed to be a part of JAARS that serves missionaries by giving them tools that help them bear fruit and share the love of Christ!

Keith, Heidi, Tim and Hanna Barkman are our missionaries serving in Cuiaba, Brazil. As Wycliffe Translators, they work with the Bororo Indians to bring God's Word into their language. For many years they have traveled LONG and precarious distances to have translation work checked buy language consultants. Loren helped Keith set up his BGAN satellite unit that will allow him to connect to the internet and he will be able to do all of the checking via email and SKYPE … right in the village.
“Greetings from the Bororo village of Perigara. We arrived on
Tuesday and have been sending and receiving e-mails fine on our BGAN unit.
Thank you so much for your part in making this possible!” – Keith

Praise

* Homeschool is going
much better and the boys are rising to the challenge of starting High School
classes.
* We really feel at home
here in Waxhaw and that is a wonderful blessing as we head into the
holidays.
* Our family has been camping
almost every weekend in October with family, church and scouts. We have
thoroughly enjoyed the wonder of God’s creation!
* We are facing purchasing a “new” car. All of our cars have 150 – 200K miles on them. Our boys are getting big and we travel and camp so much that we need a minivan of some sort. Please pray for wisdom and finances as we look for the car God has already set out for us!
* Our hearts’ desire to stay in close touch with all of our prayer and finance partners. Pray for creative time management as we visit Churches, Sunday Schools and out of town friends updating them on our ministry.
* Loren has spent his time until now on the help desk learning the computer systems of JAARS / Wycliffe. Please pray as he transitions from the help desk into knowledge management. Also pray as his team seeks wisdom from God on how to be most efficient – serving as many missionaries stateside and globally as possible.
