12/11 Update - Happy New Year

Bolo passed away 1/3/2012 at 94 years old.

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:19-20

It is never so much of a reality that what we have here on earth is temporary as it is when we lose someone close to us. Our purpose here on this earth is to love God and enjoy Him forever. We are to reflect the Glory of our Lord and Savior … nothing else really matters in the end.

Prayer & Praise           Loren’s job at Wells Fargo has ended and we are now building our prayer and financial team full-time to reach our goal and start work at JAARS.           Pray for committed financial partners for the remaining 37% of our monthly support.           Pray for decisions regarding selling our house and moving closer to JAARS in the months to come.           We got to spend time with Loren’s Grandfather and our new-born nephew “Miles” at Christmas. Though sickness was swirling around us, God kept our family healthy through the holidays.           Pray for peace and healing for Loren’s family in NC and Maine as they grieve the loss of “Grandpa.”
